Celebrating One Year in Business 🎉
Today marks a huge milestone for me … my very first birthday in business!
When I look back over the past 12 months, it feels like I’ve lived 10 years’ worth of experiences, connections, and lessons. In fact, I’ve met and built stronger relationships in this one year than I ever did in over a decade working in corporate. For that, I am truly grateful to every single person who has supported me along the way.
The Reality of Year One
Let’s be honest, the first year hasn’t been easy. Up until January 2025, things were slow, and there were moments of doubt. But from the start of this year, momentum has really built, and I’m so thankful that business has taken off.
Over the last 12 months, I’ve worked with over 15 fantastic businesses – some on one-off projects, and others on long-term partnerships. Each collaboration has stretched me, challenged me, and reminded me why I started this journey.

Showing up (sometimes nervously!) at networking events and putting myself out there.
Each of these experiences has been a chance to grow – both professionally and personally.
Celebrating the Wins (and Acknowledging the Challenges)
There have been a million challenges too – and I’ll be sharing more about those in a future article, because I think it’s important to be honest about the reality of business ownership. But today is about celebration.
It’s about acknowledging that I’ve not only survived but (dare I say it?) I’m actually thriving in my first year of business.
And as luck would have it, today is also my 9-year wedding anniversary ❤️ So we’re heading out for a celebratory lunch to toast both milestones!
To everyone who has supported me – clients, collaborators, and cheerleaders – thank you. You’ve made this first year more rewarding than I could have imagined, and I can’t wait to see what year two brings.
